Happiness is... Drugstore Haul-ing :>

Unhappiness is... broken big toes. I am in pain, lots of pain, and not ashamed to admit feeling very sorry for myself. Lying in bed on a friday afternoon with one foot raised on about a gazillion pillows because yesterday I very stupidly decided to throw my computer at my own toe is not that fun. Neither is having a big toe that has turned a kind of bright navy colour (it sort reminds me of the OPI navy nail varnish from the russia collection. I think i have OPI on the brain. I need serious help.)

:<

However, shopping is incredibly fun, and now i've finally managed to sort out my finances at good old Coop bank i should be able to do more of it :D. On Wednesday I celebrated my banking success with some quick trips to Superdrug and Boots in city centre.

My purchases :>:

1. Rimmel Lip pencil in Tiramisu - not really inspiring but needed a nice neutral lip pencil and really don't see the point in buying high-end pencils of any kind, eye or lip, especially if its a neutral colour (i really can't see any difference in quality between something like a Chanel pencil and a Boots No7, and if its only going to be sharpened down in a few weeks whats the point in wasting money?).
2. (very good news) Sleek Makeup "Ink Pot" (Gel liner) in #500 Glacier - FINALLY, i own a white base!! I've been after one for ages and have been unable to find one. Was going to order one of the coastal scents gel liners from ebay but in the end didn't want to spend so much on p&p for such a tiny product. This is one is a leeeetle bit chalky but it was cheap (tick) and comes with the CUTEST teeny tiny eyeliner brush -

how cute is that? (seriously, i get way too excited about that brush)
3. Clinique Pore Minimizer Instant Perfector - I love this product. I've tried several different ones to try to cover up the horrible crators on my cheeks (including MAC liner filler... erg. Texture like glue) and always come back to this one. It has such a strange consistency- i can't ever really decide whether its silky or greasy. But it really helps to even out my skin and its not too pricey. I also became very proud of myself at the counter- the Clinique lady was trying to bribe me into buying more on one of those stupid offers they have (this is why i hate counter-shopping) but i RESISTED. Oh yes.
4. Barry M Nail Paints in #304 Mint Green and #295 Turquoise - I have a love/hate relationship with Barry M nail varnish. On one hand, the colours are beautiful, probably the widest range of brights available in the UK. But i often find the consistency thin and watery and therefore likely to streak. These two looked so gorgeous though, i couldnt say no to them :p. Plus, mint green nail varnish is one of my "quest" items. I havent tried #304 out yet (tried to paint toenails but pain got a bit much just trying to TOUCH my toes :<) but the turquoise is lovely.

It took two coats and is already starting to chip but its so pretty i dnt care :>. Its not really a "turquoise" either in my opinion- more of a light baby blue, like a slightly darker tiffanys box (hopefully its a dupe of china glaze "for audrey" which i have never managed to find in the UK/cheap enough on ebay).
5. Lots & lots of Naturaleyes/Eyelure False Lashes- Glamour, Volume Max, and Girls Aloud Nicola ;>
Sad story here- was in Superdrug, trying to pick what lashes I wanted, and plumped for the first two listed. One pair is relatively thin but very long ("Glamour"), one is full, black and thick ("volume max"). Bought them both happily, little knowing that my perfect, holy grail lashes were waiting for me in Boots. The Nicola lashes from girls aloud's collection are actually my lash heaven- winged, long and nice and wispy. They are SO PRETTY, but then meant i had to have SEVERE buyers guilt about buying so many pairs of eyelashes. Oh well, its my money. Wore the Nicola's last night- had to cut them, as usual, to fit my eyes (which are small). But, have a HUGE grumble with Eyelure glue- its so crap! As soon as it dries it sort of crumbles away, meaning lashes fall off. In the end had to paint my eye with glue like liquid liner (pretty sure cnt be good for eyes). Need to invest in some Duo (Y). Sigh.

[ My hands arent really as wrinkly as they look on photos, its the bitmap. I'm not an oap! (though i wish i was, they get away with everything) ]
